The IAS 2026 main topics include but are not limited to:

  • Injury Prevention Strategies in Ankle Biomechanics
  • Rehabilitation and Return-to-Sport after Ankle Injuries
  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnostic Approaches for Ankle Conditions
  • Footwear and Equipment Biomechanics
  • Gait, Balance, and Postural Control Related to Ankle Function
  • Muscle-Tendon Mechanics of the Ankle
  • Methodology and Measurement Techniques in Ankle Biomechanics
  • Musculoskeletal Modeling and Simulation of Ankle Function
  • Performance Optimization and Functional Movement in Sports

Guidelines for authors:



  • Abstracts must be submitted in English only. Abstracts in other languages will not be taken into consideration.
  • Abstracts must clearly describe the presentation’s purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Authors must upload their abstract using the official template (maximum 500 words).




  • If there is more than one author, all co-authors must be included and fully listed in the submission.
  • Each participant may submit only one abstract as the first author.
  • Your abstract will not be edited; authors are fully responsible for any spelling, grammatical, and typographical errors.
  • Authors should present their research results clearly and concisely, avoiding unnecessary jargon.
  • All abbreviations must be spelled out at first mention in the abstract text.
  • Abstracts should be prepared in accordance with the conference formatting requirements. Submissions that do not follow the template may be rejected without review.


Submission Process:



  • Submit abstracts via to: Submit Abstract
  • Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and authors will be notified of the decision. In case of conditional acceptance, authors will be required to revise and resubmit their abstract.
  • Authors may indicate their preferred presentation type (oral or poster). The final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email, or if you have lost your confirmation, please contact: ias2026@yonsei.ac.kr. A written confirmation will be sent to you.
  • If an incorrect email address was provided during submission, your abstract will still be submitted. Please contact the conference office to receive written confirmation.
